Prayer
There are nearly 1,100 references to prayer in the Bible! It is clearly important.

In the New Testament, Christ says to ask the Father in unity: Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
​
In the book of Acts, an example is provided of committed prayer: Acts 20:36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
​
There are many examples of praying for the sick. In Acts 28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

And 1 Thessolonians 5:17 says to "Pray without ceasing." While this doesn't literally mean to pray nonstop, it does mean recurring prayer.

Matthew 7:7-8 says: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
